Crickley Hill Cafe
About This Spot
Set against the gentle backdrop of Crickley Hill’s rolling green, Crickley Hill Cafe offers a quietly welcoming pause for walkers, locals, and anyone wanting to slow down for a moment. It’s the kind of spot where the rhythm naturally eases—soft chatter, the occasional bark of a passing dog, and the peaceful hum of nature all mingle under a canopy of calm. Inside and out, the cafe extends a friendly embrace, with simple yet thoughtful touches that make visitors feel right at home.
Inside, the space unfolds with a no-fuss warmth, inviting you to settle in for a pot of tea or a fresh coffee without rush. The atmosphere is casual and unpretentious—more about comfort and connection than style or flash—and it’s easy to lose a little time watching the world outside while savoring something freshly made. Outdoors, benches and tables invite you to linger beneath open skies, soaking up the characteristic Gloucestershire views that make this spot special.
The menu mirrors this relaxed spirit, serving up familiar, satisfying treats that pair well with the surrounding countryside. Whether you’re drawn by the hearty scent of a bacon and sausage sandwich on a crisp morning or the fresh, vibrant flavors of a pesto and mozzarella toasted sandwich as a midday bite, the food feels like an honest, uncomplicated companion to a day spent outside. For those wandering with four-legged friends, the cafe quietly acknowledges them with dog-friendly options and welcoming water bowls, adding to the feeling of genuine care rooted in the local community.
Though practical details like parking and card-only payments reflect the realities of a modern day outing, they don’t detract from the experience here. Instead, Crickley Hill Cafe remains a steady, unassuming hub—a simple place to gather, refresh, and enjoy one of the quieter corners of the Gloucester countryside with a soft smile.

Dog friendly both inside and outside. A decent selection of cafe food like ice creams and cakes, and dog ice cream. Parking is really confusing because there always used to be parking meters but now it's pay before you leave, no ticket needed. Toilets are on site but not in the cafe. It's all you can ask for in a spot like this: no nonsense, it's not fancy, but it doesn't need to be.

Nice cafe with the usual snacks and cakes. Indoor and Outdoor seating area, take away cups too. Outdoor toilets. Only downside which stops 5 stars is that it’s a card only cafe. No cash taken. Buy your coffee and enjoy the views.

Nice little cafe that's very popular with dog walkers and visitors to Crickley Hill. Friendly staff and not over priced. Hot & cold drinks, savouries, cakes and snacks. Toilets. Biscuits and treats available for your fury friend, though these we thought were expensive. There are also several water bowls. Seating inside and benches outside. Level 9 Google reviewer; 900 plus reviews, 1.4 million views and over 12,000 photos with around 45 million views and still going strong . Check out my other reviews .

A great find at Crickley Hill. Loads of outside seating with lovely views. They had a really good selection food and drink. I think the car park is a paid one now but we walked.
